阿富汗富家少爺阿米爾（Zekeria Ebrahim飾演）與僕人哈桑（Ahmad Khan Mahmidzada飾演）情同手足。在阿米爾受別人欺負的時候總是哈桑站出來保護他，盡管哈桑比他還要瘦弱。

在一次盛大的風箏大會上，阿米爾和哈桑一路過關斬將取得了第一名的好成績。兩個少年都十分開心。
哈桑也興奮的朝最後一個「戰利品」追去。但在途中哈桑卻被一夥不良少年堵截在小巷中蹂躪強暴，尾隨哈桑的阿米爾目睹了發生在哈桑身上的一切，卻沒有勇氣站出來保護哈桑而眼睜睜的看著哈桑被他們強暴。

阿米爾卻從此背上了沉重的心理包袱。再也無法面對哈桑的他為了永遠躲開那熟悉的目光，在一天借口陷害哈桑父子倆偷東西，把他們趕出了自家的大門。

隨著戰爭的爆發，阿米爾跟父親去了美國。在那裡他和父親一道辛勤的工作學習，從一無所有逐漸建立了他們的家業。然而，拉辛汗從阿富汗打來的一個電話卻打破了所有的平靜。

阿米爾意識到過去的從來都未曾過去。他始終無法擺脫對哈桑的歉疚。為了贖罪，為了哈桑，他再次踏上睽違二十多年的故 土。希望能為不幸的好友盡最後一點心力。然而此行卻讓他發現了一個驚天的謊言......

恩~我們看過了 看這部片子不會造成人的心理陰影 沒有宣傳反動言論 沒有心理暗示 所以證明一下 這部片子可以上市公映 然後「啪」的一個章 完事…而至於對應年齡層 應該會有不同於這個標志另外的標注…

「美國：PG，美國：PG-13」
具體說一下吧：首先 審查委員會不推薦少年兒童觀看 但「不推薦」≠「禁止」 要看也起碼得是13歲以上的少年可以看 但就跟香煙上標注著「吸煙有害健康」一樣 標不標是個履行義務的責任問題 但至於別人看了會不會繼續吸煙那就跟廠商無關了 所以我覺得這種級別劃分制度其實就是一個免責聲明…
