Ⅱ 《闪电狗》英文影评

电影的一点介绍:
For super-dog Bolt, every day is filled with adventure, danger and intrigue - at least until the cameras stop rolling. When the canine star of a hit TV show is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood soundstage to New York City, he begins his biggest adventure yet - a cross-country journey through the real world. Armed only with the delusions that all his amazing feats and powers are real, and with the help of two unlikely traveling companions - a jaded, abandoned housecat named Mittens and TV-obsessed hamster in a plastic ball named Rhino - Bolt discovers he doesn't need superpowers to be a hero.

一篇老外写的感想:
once had a conversation with my college film professor about the movie Monsters, Inc. Like all Pixar films, Monsters was designed to be viewed by kids, yet was also a rewarding tale for alts. But one part of the film always stuck out in my mind: The moment when, in the middle of a wintry wasteland, the monster Sully turns his back on fellow monster Mike to pursue Boo, the human toddler that has become Sully’s ward. Upon my first viewing of the film, this moment was disquieting because, throughout the movie, we had seen the outrageous extent to which Mike was willing to extend his goodwill for the sake of his relationship with Sully. The two had presumably known each other for years, and for Sully to press on without Mike, to give up their friendship to in the pursuit of this girl with whom he’d just recently become acquainted always irked me. What type of message was this film trying to send? Of course, I was young and foolish back then, and my professor swiftly explained to me the error of my ways: Monsters Inc. was not, primarily, a movie about friendship; it was an adoption film. Sully had decided that Boo would be his daughter, and there was something transcendent in that decision, a parental bond that could not be denied even in the light of a friendship forged over years of familiarity and co-existence. Coming from a professor who had adopted a child of his own, this idea struck a particularly meaningful chord in me.

At its core, Disney’s new animated film Bolt is a movie about adoption. Through a clever premise and some great voicework from the leads, it attempts to say something profound about loyalty and devotion, and it mostly succeeds. Bolt (John Travolta) is one of the biggest television stars in the world…only he doesn’t know it. In his own television show, he’s a super-powered dog who fights crime alongside his real-life owner Penny (Miley Cyrus). In reality, he’s a normal dog who’s been tricked into believing his outlandish superhero backstory so that he can maintain a plausible level of emotion while on screen. But when Bolt gets accidentally air-mailed to New York City, he must find his way back to his owner in LA with the help of a plucky cat, Mittens (played by Susie Essman), and an overenthusiastic hamster (Mark Walton). Along the way, he’ll struggle with the apparent loss of his powers and discover the true level of his devotion to Penny (i.e. his “person”).

Virtually all the supporting characters in Bolt are completely one-note, from the on-the-nose parody of Penny’s Hollywood agent (Greg Germann) to Bolt’s director (played characteristically and deliciously by James Lipton). Accordingly, the degree to which they are amusing is inversely related with the amount of time they are on screen (the Hamster character, Rhino, wore particularly thin on my nerves as the film went on). The only reason the movie works as a whole is e to the good work of John Travolta as Bolt and Susie Essman and Mittens. Travolta, whose career has spiked up and down dramatically ever since Pulp Fiction, acquits himself surprisingly well as the titular hero. Although I was expecting to hear a younger voice come out of Bolt’s mouth, Travolta (who is 54) was able to convey a pathos that fit Bolt’s arc rather well, especially as the movie builds to an emotional climax. Meanwhile, Essman’s Mittens is hilarious as the “straight man” to Bold’s deluded self, yet she also proves that there’s slightly more depth and tragedy to her character than you would think. Essman really helps to hold the film together and her New York accent is as impeccable as it is appropriate for her character.

There’s a lot to like in Bolt, which is why I’d encourage anyone to see it. The over-the-top opening chase sequence is wonderful fun, and the film’s overarching message is utterly wholesome. There is also the matter of the pigeons in this film, who are unbelievably amusing at providing the local flavor of each region that Bolt travels through (they are the character equivalent of the penguins in the Madagascar series, perhaps one of the only amusing elements from those films). Yet while Bolt reaches for the greatness of a Pixar film, and comes quite close to that standard, it ultimately relies too much on easy jokes and shallow characters to attain it. It’s a great film for the family, or even for a date, but I don’t think it’s one I’ll be revisiting very often.

[I should also mention that I saw the film in Digital 3D and while I was wowed by the opening set piece, the rest of the film didn't really use 3D very noticeably (perhaps that was the point?). Occasionally, it served to play with the audience's perception of depth of field fairly effectively, but aside from that, I didn't really notice the 3D at all. This is hopefully the way that 3D will be used in the future, not drawing attention to itself, but subtly enhancing what you see on screen. Still, while I'd wholeheartedly recommend the 3D version, I definitely think the film would probably be just as enjoyable in 2D.]

Despite my qualms, Bolt still manages to cross a threshold of emotional involvement that any Disney film should envy. There’s a moment in the film when Bolt must decide between his friends and his “person”. But even as he makes his choice, we know that it’s a decision that’s already been woven into his being. Bolt’s loyalty is that of a child for its parent, a loyalty that goes beyond mere blood ties. It is an emotion that is as primal as it is all-surpassing. And the way it is ultimately resolved is guaranteed to tug at the heartstrings of even the most jaded moviegoer. In the end, that may be Bolt’s greatest super power: As an animated dog, he somehow found a way to touch human hearts.

(DIE HARD):

What makes Die Hard the all-time classic it has rightfully become was the lack of extravagance and fantasy: there were no decades-old war grudges, no jungle action, no superhuman powers and only the occasional physics-defying stunts we are usually overloaded with. The characters in this film were regular people, with regular jobs and regular attitudes, confronted with an extraordinary situation, responding as most regular people would, by doing things which go beyond what they would "regularly" consider. Each character's backstory is one that could easily be ours if we were born in their shoes, and we all know at least one or two people like someone from the film. These are the people we live with, work with, and interact with, and the film captured them perfectly. This realism makes it very easy for the audience to believe that it too could have been caught at that party and had to face the situation.

Die Hard took the action genre in a new direction, adding a human touch and bit of reluctance to their invulnerability, while also showing them (as Spider Man would do so as well later on) as people who are much better at making others' personal lives work out than they are with their own.

Even if you haven't seen Die Hard, you've seen its legacy in many other films since. The formula was a brilliant one, and this was its birth.

2. 铁血战士(PREDATOR):

Huge guns, Huge tough guys, macho dialogue, funny banter, One liners and an Alien. John McTiernan's 1987 classic 'Predator' is a action fans dream and a true guys film. What's not to like? Quick setup. Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and his team of bad-asses are sent to the South American jungles to rescue a group of POW's from an enemy hideout. Simple enough, but that's before they start getting picked off by a hunter from another planet. The rest of the movie relies on suspense, an over the top macho atmosphere and a entertaining team.

John McTiernan's style of creating a believable atmosphere shines out through the characters and dialogue. Every member of the rescue team is memorable and likable e to their humorous dialogue and over the top macho-ism. Dutch chomping on cigars, Blain wielding a mini gun, Mac shaving with his own sweat and Billy's huge knife are all examples of the manliness portrayed in the film.

The Predator is great in its first portrayal, brought to life thanks to Stan Winston's incredibly lifelike effect. His gadgets and weaponry stay cool and interesting right until the end. One of the things that make the film interesting is watching the team come up with new ways to kill this creature that's picking them off like flies.

The film is filled with memorable quotes and scenes that will linger in your mind any time you think of masculinity. Any fan of action or Schwarzenegger will know this is a must see and one of the quintessential 80's flicks.

3. 青春年少(RUSHMORE):

Rushmore is an extremely well written movie about obsessive love.

The acting is a quality of Rushmore that contributes greatly to its appeal. I've seen a lot of Bill Murray movies, an I've always had a high opinion of him. Saying that Bill Murray is good in a movie usually means that he was really funny (which, with a few exceptions, goes without saying). In this film, though, there is something more to his performance. With his facial expressions alone capturing the tortured soul of Mr. Blume accompanied by his impeccable comic timing, Murray is plainly terrific. Jason Schwartzman is also outstanding as Max, although his appearance shows more years than the mere 15 he is supposed to be. Olivia Williams is subtle and extremely effective as the British object of affection. Finally, in a key role as Max's chapel partner, Dirk Calloway, Mason Gamble (from Dennis the Menace), convey's his bitterness and anger with such acuity and humor that one can't imagine that there he is actually acting in front of a camera.

The humor of Rushmore is so delightfully offbeat, hilarity sometimes being found in such places as silent pauses with the camera directed right at the actor's face, that it might not be for every taste (but be sure to give it a try first). In fact, everything about this movie is different. I've seen this film twice and from the surreal use of really vivid colors to the quick-paced direction by the obviously very talented Wes Anderson, it seems destined to have cult status in the future. Finally, I would like to mention the soundtrack, a compilation of primarily British "invasion" rock (along with a brilliant original score), for it almost perfectly captures the spirit and life of this amazing achievement.

4. 死亡证据(DEATH PROOF):

Like classic directors invented the western imagery, Tarantino recreates a world of vinyl jukebox, groovy cars and adventurer-girls that only exists as an illusion. The girls, low-middle class , behaves with an independence that many housewives would envy and they are clearly inspired in the Russ Meyer pictures. But they are real, even one of the girls is credited as 'herself'.

The famous Tarantino's dialogs are a hit-and miss in this one. Sometimes they seem forced, others they flow naturally, the sheer pleasure of conversation, and they help to make the movie a lightweight experience, that could keep on running. I said that the world exists only as an illusion, but that doesn't apply to the objects (the cars, the jukebox). Tarantino is like an antiquarian that doesn't want to see his beloved treasures getting st.

Did I mention the virtuosity? The cinematography is ostentatious and generous, showing colorful scenarios. They don't try to be pervasive, on the contrary it is a "Hey, look what I'm doing" way all the time, and it works.

My only complaint is that I'm sure I'm gonna see a few semi-obscure movies from the 70s and think: "I've seen this before somewhere..." It is time for QT to do something that could be described as 'original'. Only Pulp Fiction fits in that category.

Ⅸ 电影霍比特人英文简介及感想,中文翻译

This movie is FUCKING AMAZING! I was getting really worried before going to see it because of some negative reviews, but I was quite exciting in another way cause I had have read the book since I was a freshman. If you loved the Lord of the Rings movies, especially the extended editions, then you will love The Hobbit too whatever the book or the movice.(开头...blablabla...)

My college friend introced the late great Mr J.R.R. Tolkien to me after I watched the Lord of the Rings movies , at a time when I had an insatiable appetite for movices or literature of the magic.I'm a HUGE fan, but not a "purist", and saw each of the live action films several times in the theaters. (自己和霍比特人的渊源)

I've been waiting for The Hobbit since 2003, and have been following the proction online. When it was announced 7 months ago that Peter Jackson was splitting the story into 3 films (after already completing proction on the 2-film adaptation), my heart sank. It's not that I was opposed to turning The Hobbit into a trilogy (despite that it's meant to be a children's story and not an epic), but I just didn't think there was enough story and it seemed like a cash grab that would probably destroy the pacing. But, Peter Jackson hasn't let me down before and so I held out hope. In fact the more I heard him talk about giving the dwarves a bit more character development and backstory and adding in all the stuff about the White Council, I began to look forward to it.

When a couple weeks ago reviews starting coming in saying that, as I had first feared, the movie dragged and the pacing was terrible, I prepared myself for disappointment. Even though hardcore fans on messageboards like theonering.net who had seen the movie early kept saying it was terrific, the negative reviews from professional critics kept coming in. The movie is "bloated" and "ll" and "misses the point", they said. And so I was VERY nervous going to see the movie.(电影前期准备,以及评论)

(下面是观影感想)...
I'm pleased to say that not only is the movie incredible, but it's on par with the Lord of the Rings movies. I haven't felt this way about a movie since Fellowship of the Ring 10 years ago. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it all night, and I can't wait till I can go see it again. I sat in the theater for nearly three hours with the biggest grin on my face the entire time. The movie didn't feel bloated or stretched thin to me. I was worried that there would be all these scenes that went on too long or belonged on the cutting room floor, but I can't think of anything I would have left out. It was like watching the book acted out on the screen in front of me with really great acting, music, and proction values.

The cinematography has really improved in the last 10 years! Wow this movie is beautifully shot! Howard Shore's music is once again great, though there are some little deletions and changes from the Original Soundtrack -- the only one that really bugged me though was the use of the Nazgul theme over Thorin fighting Azog. There was better music there in the Original Soundtrack and changing it was a horrible decision.

I love the added stuff with the White Council/Necromancer. It's all there in Tolkien's appendices and in "Unfinished Tales", and (blasphemy for saying so) depending on how this continues to play out over the next two movies I may end up liking this even better than the book! Either the next film or the one after that will have the Battle of Dol Golr and, from what I've heard, we will see Gandalf, Saruman, Radagast, and Galadriel battling werewolves and giant spiders as they try to drive out the Necromancer. I can just imagine how awesome that will be if Peter Jackson pulls it off!

And, yes, this felt to me like a complete movie. One of the reasons I originally hated the idea of a trilogy was I expected to feel short changed by only seeing a small fraction of the story and then having to wait another year. But I felt like there was plenty of story and they got into plenty of adventures.

My only nitpicks are few: I liked the design of the Great Goblin but I thought he acted way too cartoony. My other is there were a couple times where Bilbo and the dwarves fell from a height of like 500 feet and just got back up. They would have been killed. I also thought the character Azog was fine, but why did he have to be all CGI? Why couldn't it have been an actor in makeup like Lurtz in Fellowship of the Ring? Those are really my only nitpicks though.

As I sat in the theater I had a feeling like this is one of the best filmgoing experiences I've ever had. I had the same feeling watching Lord of the Rings. As someone who originally hated the idea of making this into a trilogy, now I say bring it on!!!

最后老师最爱:讲些什么什么电影教会我们什么

The movie is not only Bilbo's advention but also show us how to live.None of us knows what might happen even the next minute, yet still we go forward. Because Bilbo trust. Because he have Faith.He figured out that a meaningful life is not about being rich, being corfatable in his cave. It is about being real, being humble, being able to share ourselves and touch the lives of others. It is only then that we could have a full, happy and contented life.
